Maru Djembe Terms and Conditions

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Please be aware of the following conditions during your stay at Maru Djembe. These terms and conditions were accepted when the booking was made and form the basis of our agreement.

1. The person making the reservation and/or receiving/reading these conditions agrees to inform all members of their group and ensure that they adhere to these conditions. These terms and conditions apply to all visitors to the property.

2. We reserve the right to admit or refuse admission to anyone. Any person who misbehaves, as judged by the management or staff members, will be asked to leave the premises. Admission or accommodation fees will not be refunded.

3. The use of fireworks is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in immediate expulsion from the property and cancellation of the booking, without any refund. All firearms should be declared.

4. The person accompanying babies, toddlers, and children is responsible for their supervision on the property.

5. Visitors use all facilities at their own risk, including the swimming pool and dams. Maru Djembe does not accept responsibility for any injuries or damage resulting from the use of facilities or any other injuries or damage on the property. Guests acknowledge the presence of dangerous wild animals such as leopards, snakes, and buffalo on the property and accept the risk of injury and death on their own accord with no recourse to the owner and/or employees of the property and the lodge.

6. Visitors participate in any group activities organized by the lodge at their own risk. They are also responsible for their belongings. Maru Djembe is not liable for theft or loss of personal property.

7. Any property brought onto the private nature reserve serves as security for the fulfillment of the visitor's obligations as set out in these terms and conditions.

8. Visitors must maintain peace and tranquility at all times. Playing of music or musical instruments must be done softly and should not disturb other guests. Absolute silence must be observed after 22:00. Playing of music from cars or sound systems within the property boundaries is strictly prohibited at any time. Guests authorize Maru Djembe staff to enforce this rule by switching off or removing any device or car keys that violate this rule. Maru Djembe does not allow loud parties and only caters to guests who wish to relax quietly in a tranquil environment while enjoying nature.

9. No music, eating, drinking, screaming, or shouting is allowed at the swimming pool. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the pool area. Littering is not allowed anywhere on the property. Guests must use the provided rubbish bins and respect the cleanliness of the area.

10. Visitors are responsible for any equipment used and will be charged for any breakage or damage during their visit. Visitors are also responsible for any damages caused to the property of Maru Djembe. Any breakage deposit refunds are done within 5 business days by Electronic Fund Transfer from Absa to the bank account nominated by the Guest in writing. We reserve the right to charge a breakage deposit at any time during your stay if circumstances warrant it. We may also ask guests to provide valid identification at any time during their stay or before arrival.
